2026: Australasian Symposium on Assessment Literacies in the age of GenAI: Navigating a Wicked Problem

The 2026 Australasian Symposium on "Assessment Literacies in the age of GenAI: Navigating a Wicked Problem" is jointly hosted by Transforming Assessment (ASCILITE SIG) and the HERDSA Assessment Quality SIG.

This half day event will explore aspects of assessment literacies in the age of GenAI along with various dimensions of navigating this as a wicked problem.

Keynote "In Defence of Wicked Problems: What Assessment Literacy is For" by A/Prof Thomas Corbin: School of Education, Deakin University, Australia.

Closing Plenary "Stabilising assessment in an unstable system" by Prof Simon Sneddon, Faculty of Business and Law, University of Northampton, UK
